Indie Band Breaks BitTorrent Record
Through the medium of BitTorrent, Indie Band Sick of Sarah have collaborated with some top artists and whose albums have already been downloaded more than million times. The punk girl-rock band Sick of Sarah decided to release their latest album '2205' on BitTorrent last month free of cost. BitTorrent Inc is helping to promote the free download through their own app in the uTorrent, BitTorrent client. Band's bassist Jamie Holm said that releasing an album on BitTorrent was an incredible opportunity. They wanted to reach their fans on the internet and their fans use BitTorrent, she added. In just a small tenure of 18 days the free album was downloaded one million times and around 1,365,453 BitTorrent users had saved it on their hard drives. The largest swarm, the combination of seeds and peers, was ''Heroes.S03E01.HDTV.XviD-0TV'' with gigantic 144,663 peers.
